Role Overview
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve coding, enhancing components across various systems or applications, and collaborating with team members to implement modern frameworks and agile practices. You will focus on delivering scalable and high-performing solutions, ensuring that the software aligns with the requirements of the organization and its clients. Your role will also include troubleshooting and optimizing existing software components to improve performance and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure on AWS.
- Build and maintain CI or CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS Code Pipeline.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate infra provisioning and management.
- Manage containerized environments using AWS services like ECS, EKS, and Fargate.
- Configure and maintain monitoring systems with AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Automate and streamline operations for platform provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience required.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Proven experience in cloud platform engineering with strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EKS, EBS, ECS, ELB, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch).
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with CI or CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Experience integrating security into the CIC or CD pipeline using tools like SonarQube, Black Duck, or Trivy.
