Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Production Support Software Engineer to join our team. This position requires an Engineer to monitor and track applications using different tools and address if any issues are noticed, reported, or escalated. You will work with distributed systems and maintain medium-to-large-scale web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Understand the product/functionality and the business requirements.
- Ensure the production support team is aware of the impact of changes that go into production.
- Triage functional and technically complex customer reported issues in a distributed environment.
- Analyze advanced, distributed solutions that process, store, and quickly retrieve huge volumes of data and identify root cause.
- Navigate multiple technologies including AWS, Openshift, Node JS, Python, Java, and Mongo DB.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API design principles (OpenAPI).
- Experience implementing rate limiting, resiliency patterns, and observability techniques using Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in cloud engineering, preferably with AWS experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Golang.
- Expertise in NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra and caching solutions like Redis.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts.
- Experience with Application Monitoring Tools such as Splunk, Cloudwatch, or Dynatrace.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google App Engine, or Heroku).
- Experience in writing native SQL queries and working with Relational Databases like Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres, or SQLServer.
