AI Engineering Intern

Role Overview

ComplyForge is looking for an AI/ML Engineer Intern to work on real-world AI problems where accuracy, evidence, traceability, and reliability are paramount. You will contribute to building AssuraQMS, an AI-powered electronic Quality Management System for medical device and health-technology companies, focusing on RAG, regulatory intelligence, and hallucination control.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve retrieval pipelines (RAG) over regulatory and technical information.
• Work on document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector/hybrid search.
• Contribute to the 510(k) Predicate Finder for device research and similarity analysis.
• Develop systems for citation grounding and hallucination control to ensure AI outputs are supported by evidence.
• Help develop AI capabilities for SOP assistance, CAPA investigation, and design-control traceability.
• Assist in managing the model and prompt lifecycle to ensure reproducibility and inspectability.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, Data Science, Electronics, or a related field.
• Strong Python fundamentals.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs.
• Understanding of prompt design and structured model interaction.
• Experience building at least one working RAG/retrieval-based application.
• Understanding of embeddings and vector search.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
