Data Engineer I (R-19886)

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer I at Dun & Bradstreet, you will work within an agile team supporting Research and Managed Services. This is a hands-on, hybrid, technical, and operational role focused on writing and maintaining code to build data tools, automations, and pipelines. You will also identify and evaluate internal and external data sources to feed AI-enabled and traditional research workflows, ensuring high standards of data quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, test, and maintain code using SQL and Python to build data tools and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Automate manual processes and develop web-scraping solutions and API integrations.
• Identify prospective data sources for AI solutions and perform source profiling and validation.
• Implement AI-enabled workflows using LangChain, LLMs, embeddings, RAG, and vector databases.
• Perform operational tasks including monitoring, exception handling, and database administration.
• Ensure data integrity through validation, reconciliation, and regular cleaning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain comprehensive data documentation.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with web-data collection techniques such as Playwright and Selenium.
• Experience developing and supporting data-ingestion, transformation, and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Ability to collect and interpret data from sources like GCS/S3 and formats including XML, JSON, and PDF.
• Working knowledge of data systems and databases.
• Experience with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
