Job Description
Role Overview
FinOps Brain is building the reconciliation cockpit for Indian CA firms, solving the high-stakes GSTR-2B vs Purchase Register matching workflow. The MVP is already production-deployed and multi-tenant, and you will be joining as the first engineer to work directly with the founder to scale the product as it meets the market.
Responsibilities
- Ingestion and parsing edge cases from messy real-world files
- Hardening the reconciliation engine
- Building the exception-review UI that CAs live in every day
- Shipping fast against live design partner feedback
Requirements
- A builder-first mindset with experience building side projects, startups, or personal hacks
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications
- Strong proficiency in Python and solid React/TypeScript
- Experience dealing with messy real-world data (Excel/CSV parsing, entity matching, or fintech/accounting data)
- High focus on correctness, audit trails, tests, and determinism
- Preference for IIT / NIT / BITS graduates, though shipping record is prioritized
