Job Description
Role Overview
The Digital Technology Internship at GE Appliances offers individuals with a passion for information technology the opportunity to grow leadership skills, business acumen, and technology aptitude. Interns lead by doing, gaining frontline experience by working on important and challenging projects alongside technical experts.
Responsibilities
- Develop major system modules, programs, enhancements, conversions, and interfaces based on technical and functional specifications.
- Perform application development (Web, client server, standalone, mobile) utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Engage in systems management, optimization, and business process re-engineering.
- Assist with infrastructure management and environmental design/build out.
- Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, debugging, and documentation for various business solutions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology or Engineering (B Tech/BE) with specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum aggregate of 60% throughout Xth, XIIth, and Bachelor's degree.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in technology is preferred.
