Role Overview

The Digital Technology Internship at GE Appliances offers individuals with a passion for information technology the opportunity to grow leadership skills, business acumen, and technology aptitude. Interns lead by doing, gaining frontline experience by working on challenging projects alongside world-class technical minds. This is an entry-level position for those demonstrating command of programming languages, program design, and application analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop major system modules, programs, enhancements, conversions, and interfaces from technical specifications.
• Perform application development across Web, client-server, standalone, and mobile platforms.
• Utilize Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Engage in systems management, optimization, and business process re-engineering.
• Assist with infrastructure management and environmental design/build out.
• Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, and debugging within established operating procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology or Engineering (B Tech/BE) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum aggregate of 60% throughout Xth, XIIth, and Bachelor's studies.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in technology is preferred.
• Leadership experience inside or outside the classroom.
