Software Engineer II, Payments

Role Overview

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a Software Engineer II, Payments, you will work on projects critical to Google's needs, focusing on making payments simple, seamless, and secure through technologies like Autofill, tap and pay, and the Google Pay app. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions while managing project priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices such as style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
