Role Overview
Kinaxis is seeking a highly analytical Software Developer I to join its Operations Research (OR) team. This role is focused on developing the scientific and optimization capabilities that power the Kinaxis Maestro platform. You will work at the intersection of Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering to solve complex supply chain planning problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain optimization and analytical software components for supply chain planning applications.
- Implement mathematical models, optimization frameworks, simulation models, and decision support methodologies.
- Translate business problems into scalable analytical and optimization solutions.
- Support the development of AI-powered planning and decision intelligence capabilities.
- Build data preparation, feature engineering, model training, and inference workflows.
- Develop production-quality software using Python.
- Design reusable, maintainable, and testable software components.
- Evaluate emerging techniques in Operations Research, AI, and Machine Learning.
Requirements
- Strong foundations in Operations Research, Mathematical Modeling, Statistics, Machine Learning, and Python software development.
- Strong Python programming skills including Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Understanding of Mathematical Optimization, Linear and Integer Programming, and Simulation.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals and Statistical Learning.
- Experience with Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Proficiency with Git and Agile Development Practices.
