Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to focus on hardware-software integration and circuit design. You will be responsible for creating detailed schematics, performing PCB layout, and ensuring the reliability and performance of mixed-signal embedded systems.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed schematics, perform PCB layout, and select components for mixed-signal embedded systems using tools like Altium or KiCad Designer.
- Conduct hardware testing, validation, and debugging to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with EMI/EMC standards.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to define hardware specifications, integrate components, and troubleshoot system-level issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation (schematics, BOMs, test reports) and ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Prototype, solder, and troubleshoot boards, and support the transition to manufacturing (design for manufacturability).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in embedded hardware design, PCB layout, and microcontroller-based system development.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer, Eagle PCB, or similar CAD software.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, PIC, AVR).
- Familiarity with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN).
- Expertise using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
- Proficient with Git, GDB, and JTAG debugging tools.
