Automation QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a forward-thinking Automation QA Engineer with strong Playwright expertise and a GenAI-first development approach. You will leverage AI tools like ChatGPT and Codex to accelerate automation, improve test coverage, and enhance engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
• Build scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks
• Apply a GenAI-first approach using ChatGPT and Codex to generate test cases, test data, and edge scenarios
• Auto-generate and optimize test scripts
• Debug failures and analyze logs efficiently
• Assist in code reviews and test improvements
• Collaborate with developers and product teams on test strategies
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Continuously improve QA productivity using AI-driven workflows

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)
• Strong understanding of automation frameworks and design patterns
• Experience using ChatGPT or similar GenAI tools in QA/dev workflows
• Exposure to AI coding agents like Codex for test generation or debugging
• Experience in API testing (REST)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Experience with Git
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Good understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating AI/GenAI workflows into QA pipelines
• Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Knowledge of performance testing tools
• Experience with Azure CI/CD (Azure DevOps Pipelines)
• Cross-browser and cross-platform testing
• Familiarity with Docker or containerization
• Basic cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP)
