Cyber Security Intern (Network Security, Vulnerability Assessment, Information Security)

Role Overview

Medinex Workforce is seeking a Cyber Security Intern to assist with security-focused projects involving monitoring, documentation, risk awareness, and basic security assessment activities. This internship is intended for candidates who want to develop practical knowledge of information security while working with a remote technical team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing security logs and identifying unusual activity
• Support basic vulnerability assessment and security review tasks
• Research common cybersecurity risks and emerging threats
• Help maintain security documentation and assessment records
• Assist with security awareness and compliance-related activities
• Support technical teams in implementing recommended security practices
• Participate in controlled security testing and remediation tracking
• Prepare summaries of security observations for internal review

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and security concepts
• Interest in information security and cybersecurity technologies
• Familiarity with Linux is beneficial
• Academic or personal cybersecurity projects are welcome
