Role Overview
Join Microchip Technology Inc., a global leader in designing technology that powers the world. As part of our Capacitive touch products team, you will work on turnkey controllers, touch libraries, and single-chip solutions for consumer, industrial, and automotive applications. This role involves deep involvement in Firmware, Software, and hardware development.
Responsibilities
- Develop C and Assembly applications for 8 and 32-bit microcontrollers.
- Lead efforts towards development of assigned project modules and deliver on committed timelines.
- Perform firmware architecture, design, and coding with firmware-hardware co-development.
- Adhere to standards, guidelines, and best practices for design and development.
- Work with multi-site cross-functional teams and reach out to stakeholders to solve problems.
- Act as an individual contributor and lead teams or projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ECE or Electrical Engineering.
- 2 to 7+ years of experience in the embedded domain.
- Very strong proficiency in C programming in an embedded environment.
- In-depth work experience with microcontroller peripherals such as DMA, ADC, I2C, and SPI.
- Familiarity with Jenkins and basic CI/CD concepts.
- Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and frontend test automation.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge/experience in MPLAB, Harmony, or ARM tool chains.
- Experience with Capacitive touch technology.
- Knowledge of CMSIS, ISO26262, or CLASS-B.
- Automation framework experience.
