Bun, Nitro & TypeScript Engineering Intern

Role Overview

Modest Human Brands (MHB) builds workflow automation and project management SaaS platforms designed specifically for modern advertising agencies, production houses, and creative studios. We are looking for a motivated Bun, Nitro & TypeScript Engineering Intern to join our team on a 100% remote, part-time, unpaid basis for a 3-month duration. This is a high-learning technical internship where you will work directly with our engineering stack to help build and optimize robust backend APIs, structure database layers, and ship features for our flagship SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

• API Development: Build, test, and optimize clean, secure RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Database Management: Design and query schemas across relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and caching/NoSQL layers (Redis/MongoDB).
• Containerization & Deployment: Write Dockerfiles and assist in managing containerized microservices.
• Full-Stack Integration: Coordinate with UI components (Vue.js / Nuxt) when wiring backend endpoints into production dashboards.
• Code Quality & Version Control: Collaborate via Git pull requests, write clean unit tests, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Solid foundational knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Bun, and Nitro.
• Understanding of database fundamentals (SQL queries, data modeling).
• Familiarity with Git version control and basic Docker concepts.
• High curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and eagerness to learn production engineering.
• Ability to commit 10–15 flexible hours per week for 3 months.
