Mobile App Developer Intern — React Native & TypeScript

Role Overview

Muztream is a purpose-driven streaming platform built for Muslims and beyond. We’re looking for a Mobile App Developer Intern with strong React Native and TypeScript skills to help build Muztream’s mobile application from the ground up. This is a hands-on product engineering opportunity where you will contribute to the core mobile experience across iOS and Android, including audio playback, API integration, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Build the initial Muztream mobile application for iOS and Android using React Native and TypeScript.
• Help design and implement a unified audio experience supporting Cloudflare R2 assets, embedded content, and external CDNs.
• Contribute to audio features such as pre-buffering, background playback, lock-screen controls, and Bluetooth state synchronization.
• Build responsive, high-performance interfaces and interactive features with smooth animations.
• Translate multi-screen Figma designs into polished, production-ready interfaces.
• Integrate REST APIs using clear, strongly typed TypeScript interfaces.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, image loading, audio caching, and long lists.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, technical discussions, and product decisions.

Requirements

• Strong practical experience with React Native through professional work, coursework, or meaningful personal projects.
• Good understanding of React Native components, lifecycle behavior, navigation, and mobile UI patterns.
• Comfortable writing TypeScript with interfaces, generics, and strict type safety.
• Experience working with REST APIs, asynchronous data, and error handling.
• Familiarity with mobile performance optimization and responsive layouts.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Ability to read Figma designs and implement them accurately.
