Role Overview
Ness is a global leader in digital transformation and a full lifecycle digital engineering firm. We are looking for a Java Selenium Web Automation Test engineer to join our team and help design, build, and integrate digital platforms and enterprise software.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement a scalable test automation framework and strategy using Selenium WebDriver;
- Create test strategy, test plans and test cases for projects managed through Agile development methodology;
- Develop and maintain methods and libraries needed to rapidly grow and scale automation suite;
- Develop scripts for Web Services and Rest Services;
- Contribute to test automation framework written in Java, Selenium, Webdriver, and SQL;
- Address complex testing challenges and accelerate the regression test process;
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects;
- Collaborate with software developers and QA analysts to develop effective testing strategies;
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on testability and quality risks;
- Report and document bugs and track their resolution;
- Perform manual testing as and when required.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in writing web automation scripts using Java, Selenium, BDD, and Cucumber;
- Experience with Pega Application testing;
- Strong knowledge of Java Programming (OOP concepts, Collection, JDBC, I/O and Java Utils);
- Experience working with JSON and XML;
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services;
- Experience testing complex applications with 3rd party integrations;
- Strong knowledge of object oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and multi-threading;
- Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, etc.) and ability to execute queries;
- Experience working within a Microservice environment;
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test integration;
- Understanding of Multi-Tier Architecture and API testing.
