Software Engineer - Testing

Role Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Software Testing Freshers to join our Quality Assurance team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in software testing, good analytical skills, and a willingness to learn and work with different testing tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Understand software requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and usability testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Re-test defects after fixes and ensure issues are resolved.
• Work closely with developers and QA team members to understand and resolve application issues.
• Maintain test documentation and testing reports.
• Participate in requirement analysis and review meetings.
• Learn and apply software testing best practices and processes.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Software Testing / QA concepts.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Understanding of test cases, test scenarios, defect life cycle, and bug reporting.
• Basic knowledge of SQL is preferred.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Postman, Selenium, or other testing tools is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc / BCA / MCA / M.Sc in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
