Role Overview
As a Test Automation Engineer (a.k.a. Software Engineer in Test) you will be part of an Agile team and involved in all aspects of our projects’ lifecycle from inception through release. Your mandate is to maximize the quality, measurability, and supportability of production features, maximize testability by closing coverage gaps, and minimize internal defect escapes by shifting from end-of-cycle detection to up-front defect prevention through automation.
Responsibilities
- Setting up test environments including client and web applications, services, and databases.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated UI, API, integration, smoke, and regression tests.
- Build and enhance scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks.
- Review user stories and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios, risks, and edge cases.
- Integrate automated tests and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform functional, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
- Test APIs, microservices, web applications, databases, and distributed system integrations.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools for test-case generation, automation development, and debugging.
- Mentor and support junior Test Automation Engineers.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or software development.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong programming skills in C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with automation technologies such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, SpecFlow, or Cucumber.
- Strong experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or Playwright.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD technologies such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and container technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes.
