Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Phyllo is a data gateway that allows social data to be accessed from source platforms. We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, reliable, and user-friendly products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across both frontend and backend development, with hands-on expertise in technologies such as React.js, JavaScript, Python, and FastAPI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications across frontend and backend systems.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop robust backend services, APIs, and business logic using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to support product functionality.
• Build reusable frontend components and maintain scalable, modular application architecture.
• Work with databases and data models to build efficient and reliable backend systems.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into high-quality technical solutions.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the frontend and backend stack.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards, architecture, and development processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features from ideation to deployment and production.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Professional experience building backend applications and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, API integrations, backend architecture, and database concepts.
• Comfortable working with frontend state management, component-based architecture, and React Hooks.
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with modern development tools like Git, GitHub, Webpack, and ESLint.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, debugging, and system design.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, or Docker is a plus.
