Web Developer and Designer

Role Overview

At Redboots, we believe a website is more than a digital visiting card. It is where a brand’s identity, story, personality and ambition come together. We're looking for a Web Designer & Developer who can move comfortably between the creative and the technical — someone who can dream up a beautiful digital experience and then actually build it. You'll work across brands in food, hospitality, FMCG, art, culture and community, turning ideas into websites that look great, feel intuitive and work flawlessly.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing websites from concept to launch.
• Translating brand identities into distinctive digital experiences.
• Creating wireframes, layouts, user journeys and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
• Turning designs into responsive, functional websites across desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Working with platforms such as Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, React or other relevant technologies.
• Writing clean, efficient and maintainable front-end code.
• Making sure websites are fast, responsive, SEO-friendly and accessible.
• Bringing designs to life through thoughtful interactions, animations and micro-interactions.
• Integrating CMSs, forms, analytics, APIs and third-party tools where required.
• Working closely with strategists, writers, designers and clients to understand the thinking behind every project.
• Testing, troubleshooting and fixing things when the internet inevitably decides to have a moment.
• Managing website updates, maintenance and post-launch improvements.
• Keeping an eye on what's happening in the world of web, design and digital.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in web design and development.
• Confident with Figma and modern web development technologies.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as Webflow and/or WordPress.
• Understanding of responsive design, UX/UI, SEO and website performance.
• Good eye for typography, composition, spacing, hierarchy and visual storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Motion and interaction design.
• GSAP or other animation libraries.
