Full Stack MERN Developer Intern

Role Overview

At SmartCoders Consulting, we build scalable, high-performance web applications using modern technologies and cloud platforms. As a Full Stack MERN Developer Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects, learning full-stack development, cloud fundamentals, and industry best practices in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for candidates interested in building complete web applications using React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, along with exposure to AWS fundamentals and modern development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining full-stack web applications using the MERN stack
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js
• Develop responsive user interfaces using React.js
• Work with MongoDB for database operations and data modeling
• Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, basic role-based access)
• Use React Context API for state management
• Support deployment and basic cloud tasks using AWS fundamentals
• Collaborate with team members using Git and GitHub
• Debug issues and improve application performance and reliability
• Follow clean coding practices and documentation standards

Requirements

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB
• Understanding of authentication concepts (JWT, sessions)
• Familiarity with React Context API
• Basic understanding of REST API design
• Exposure to AWS fundamentals (EC2, S3, IAM – basic level)
• Experience using Git and GitHub for version control
• Basic understanding of JavaScript (ES6+)
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
