Job Description
Role Overview
Smart Sites is a construction technology company building intelligent systems for construction site monitoring and management. We are looking for an IoT Engineer to join our hardware and embedded systems team on a remote internship basis. You will work on the development, testing, and integration of wireless positioning and communication systems used in our worker tracking platform. This is a hands-on engineering role involving both hardware and firmware work on real deployments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and integrate wireless positioning and communication systems.
- Perform hardware and firmware work on real deployments.
- Work on worker tracking platform components.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C or C++ for embedded systems development.
- Understanding of wireless communication protocols and real-time data transmission.
- Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded hardware.
- Familiarity with sensor integration and hardware debugging.
- Knowledge of Ultra-Wideband technology and its application in indoor positioning is required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with LoRa and LoRaWAN protocols.
- Experience with GNSS and GPS modules and positioning systems.
- Experience with MQTT or other IoT messaging protocols.
- Experience with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems).
