Role Overview

Specialist Software Engineer - Java Developer focused on production support, incident management, and service continuity. This 12-month tenure role involves monitoring, reporting, and driving major incident management processes to ensure business continuity and high-quality production environments.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily monitoring, reporting and being part of shift roaster in accordance with SLA/OLA and procedures
• Perform detailed investigation and escalate to relevant team with analysis
• Ensure timely and accurate status reporting as per procedures and production needs
• Incident, Request, Problem management as per defined guidelines following ITIL principles
• Drive Major incident management process to handle any crisis on production
• Manage stakeholders for the feature/application and drive governance meetings
• Identify levers to improve quality, reduce cost and reduce MTTR
• Implement automations to gain efficiency and contribute to innovation ideas
• Provide leadership on operational activities and guide the team
• Demonstrate proficiency of agile model & CD practices

Requirements

• Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Request fulfilment, Incident, Problem & Change/Release Management)
• Good knowledge of CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins or XLDeploy
• Ability to perform impact analysis and task prioritization based on SLA/OLA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with monitoring tools and implementation
