Role Overview

Specialist Software Engineer - Java Developer focused on production support, incident management, and service continuity. This 12-month tenure role involves monitoring, reporting, and driving major incident management processes to ensure business continuity and high-quality production environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring, reporting, and shift rotation in accordance with SLA/OLA.
• Investigate incidents and escalate to relevant teams with detailed analysis.
• Manage Incident, Request, and Problem management following ITIL principles.
• Drive Major Incident Management and Post Mortem (PM) processes to identify root causes and remediation actions.
• Manage stakeholder communications and drive governance meetings.
• Implement automation and continuous improvement plans (Plan-Do-Check-Act) to reduce MTTR and improve quality.
• Collaborate with partners to understand market, technical, and business events.
• Manage service coverage, budget/scope, and change management to ensure service continuity.
• Contribute to knowledge management and maintain structured documentation.
• Provide leadership on operational activities and mentor team members.
• Participate in Agile and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java and REST-API.
• Experience with UNIX environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management).
• Exposure to CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins or XLDeploy.
• Experience with monitoring tools and implementation.
