Role Overview
SS&C is a leading provider of mission-critical, AI-powered technology and services empowering financial services and healthcare organizations to work smarter, faster, and securely. The Automation Support Engineer (AI-Assisted) will be responsible for investigating incidents, utilizing modern AI coding assistants and LLM APIs to accelerate investigation, and maintaining automation workflows using Blueprism.
Responsibilities
- Investigate incidents and failures using logs, control room data, and process design artefacts.
- Triage incoming issues and distinguish process defects from environment or infrastructure root causes.
- Use modern AI coding assistants, LLM APIs, or open-source AI frameworks to build and maintain automation workflows.
- Apply core prompting techniques like Few-Shot, Chain-of-Thought, and RAG to support and triage work.
- Design, build, test, and deploy changes to existing automations in line with Blueprism best practices.
- Manage incidents and defects through to resolution, maintaining clear communication with operational stakeholders.
- Ensure AI and automation components comply with enterprise-grade security and ethical AI guardrails.
Requirements
- Production support experience within enterprise environments.
- Experience in environments where delivery and maintenance responsibilities are merged (e.g., CoE, DevOps).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts including servers, services, and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on exposure to modern AI coding assistants, LLM APIs, or open-source AI frameworks.
- Familiarity with Playwright and FlaUI or similar accessibility-based frameworks.
- Awareness of prompt engineering techniques and text-based AI model operations.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
