Role Overview

Weekday is a rapidly growing technology startup backed by Y Combinator (W21 batch), revolutionizing the tech-recruitment industry through advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join a high-ownership environment, working on production-ready features and tackling real-world scalability challenges in a remote-first setup.

Responsibilities

• Actively assist senior engineers in the comprehensive design, agile development, and rigorous testing of highly scalable software features.
• Proactively identify, debug, and resolve complex software issues to improve system performance, latency, and reliability.
• Learn and adapt quickly to cutting-edge tools, cloud technologies, AI integrations, and modern engineering workflows.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality, security standards, and architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a strictly related technical field (2024, 2025, 2026 batches encouraged).
• Minimum 60% aggregate across academics.
• Available for a minimum of 2 months, extendable up to 6 months.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles.
