Backend Developer -Node.js (NestJS)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 3+ years of experience to manage and extend a production backend system built with Node.js and NestJS. The backend powers mobile applications involving authentication, financial transactions, third-party integrations, and secure data processing. This role requires strong backend fundamentals and careful handling of business-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Design and implement RESTful APIs
• Maintain authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Work with relational databases and ORM tools
• Design, update, and maintain database schemas and migrations
• Integrate and manage third-party services and APIs
• Ensure data consistency and reliability for transaction-based systems
• Handle error management, logging, and monitoring
• Support deployment and runtime issues in production
• Work with AWS-based infrastructure
• Manage environment configurations and secrets securely
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests
• Use Git for version control and collaborate via pull requests

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Strong experience with Node.js and NestJS
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Hands-on experience with ORMs (TypeORM or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture
• Experience implementing authentication systems (JWT, tokens, etc.)
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud deployments
• Understanding of production backend monitoring and debugging
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or financial systems
• Knowledge of third-party payment or KYC integrations
• Experience working with transaction-heavy or high-reliability systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure best practices
