PHP Web Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented PHP Web Developer to manage back-end services and ensure a seamless exchange of data between the server and users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application.

Responsibilities

• Code Development: Write clean, bug-free, well-designed, and scalable PHP code.
• Architecture Design: Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.
• Database Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Maria DB.
• Frontend Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• API Integration: Connect applications with third-party web services and APIs.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Security Implementation: Implement data protection and security measures to guard against web server exploits.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• In-depth understanding of object-oriented PHP programming and MVC design patterns.
• Working knowledge of basic web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
• Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git.
• Graduate or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with open-source Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla or Drupal.
• Knowledge of common web server exploits and their prevention.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as PHPUnit.
• 2 Years of working experience
