Job Description
Role Overview
Vowelweb is looking for a skilled Shopify Developer with hands-on experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify websites. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Shopify's ecosystem and be comfortable working with themes, Liquid, integrations, and responsive web development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify websites and stores.
- Customize Shopify themes based on project requirements.
- Work with Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to implement custom functionality.
- Create responsive and user-friendly storefronts across desktop and mobile devices.
- Configure Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website functionality and performance issues.
- Implement custom sections, features, and theme modifications.
- Optimize Shopify stores for performance, usability, and SEO.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, SEO, content, and digital marketing teams.
- Test websites across different browsers and devices.
- Maintain existing Shopify websites and implement updates as required.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify and Shopify themes.
- Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Shopify theme customization and development.
- Understanding of responsive web design.
- Familiarity with Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
- Basic understanding of website performance and SEO.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand design requirements and convert them into functional interfaces.
- Good communication and ability to work collaboratively.
- A portfolio or examples of Shopify websites developed by you will be preferred.
