Platform Engineer (Azure) - L2

Role Overview

We are looking for a Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure to support cloud infrastructure, platform operations, security, monitoring, and day-to-day administration. The ideal candidate should have experience managing Azure resources, virtual machines, networking, storage, backups, databases, and troubleshooting production environments. Exposure to Azure data and DevOps services will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Administer Azure Virtual Machines, networking, storage, and backup solutions.
• Monitor infrastructure health and troubleshoot production issues.
• Perform patching, backup validation, disaster recovery (DR), and recovery activities.
• Support Azure SQL/SQL Server and Linux/Windows server administration.
• Assist in managing and monitoring Azure Data Factory pipelines and data integration workflows.
• Support deployments and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
• Provide operational support for Azure Databricks workspaces and collaborate with data engineering teams.
• Maintain operational documentation and collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL, SQL Server, and basic MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) and backup/restore processes.
• Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
