Role Overview

Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice helps companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into actionable information. As a Consultant, you will design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, building scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for scalable enterprise applications.
• Develop cloud-native and distributed systems following microservices architecture.
• Implement secure, performant, and resilient services.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Integrate messaging solutions like Kafka.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure code quality.
• Monitor application health using logging and monitoring tools.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and reliability best practices.

Requirements

• 3 – 7 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Experience with Microservices Architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL & NoSQL Databases.
• Experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Methodologies.
