Black March Studios is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern Game Developer to join our dynamic team remotely. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced developers to contribute to the creation of engaging gameplay mechanics and tools.
Responsibilities
- Writing and optimizing code for game tools and gameplay scripts within Unity.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of game features and mechanics.
- Collaborating with designers and artists to translate creative concepts into functional game elements.
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Learning and applying best practices in software development and game design.
- Supporting the team in troubleshooting technical issues and refining game performance.
- Documenting development processes and maintaining clear communication with team members.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Unity game engine, with hands-on experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of C# programming language.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and best practices.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, software, and programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program such as Computer Science, Game Development, or related fields is a plus.
