Junior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to support our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, source-code management, application deployments, and Windows Server environments. The ideal candidate should have basic hands-on knowledge of Azure, AWS, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, SonarQube, and application hosting.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and monitor CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Support application builds and deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Manage source-code repositories using Git, GitHub, and Azure Repos.
• Assist with branching, pull requests, merges, versioning, and release management.
• Integrate and maintain SonarQube code-quality checks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Support the provisioning and maintenance of resources in Azure and AWS.
• Deploy and host applications on Windows Server using IIS and Windows services.
• Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, server problems, and application configuration errors.
• Assist with backups, rollbacks, environment configurations, and release documentation.
• Collaborate with development, testing, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure reliable releases.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud services.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment processes.
• Hands-on exposure to Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, and source-code management.
• Familiarity with SonarQube and code-quality analysis.
• Basic experience with Windows Server and IIS application hosting.
• Understanding of branches, pull requests, merges, and conflict resolution.
• Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash, or a similar language.
• Good troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Undergraduate)

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Docker, YAML pipelines, monitoring tools, and infrastructure as code.
• Azure, AWS, or DevOps-related certifications will be an added advantage.
