Product Engineering Intern

Role Overview

Truvara builds agentic products for trust professionals. Our first product, CASK, is a local-first desktop workspace where an AI agent reads the workspace, drafts cited work, and proposes edits. As a Product Engineering Intern, you will help maintain and improve the CASK codebase, working across the UI, product flows, and the native layer.

Responsibilities

• Fix bugs, close small features, and keep tests passing
• Trace issues across the TypeScript UI and the Rust backend
• Open clean pull requests with focused diffs and clear descriptions
• Use Git as a daily tool for branching, reviews, and rebases
• Work with AI coding tools by writing briefs and reviewing generated code
• Use CASK to ensure engineering decisions are grounded in user workflows

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience (internships, course projects, or personal work)
• Solid Git skills (branching, committing, and opening PRs)
• AI-native approach: experience using AI-powered coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or Windsurf
• Understanding of agentic engineering and human-in-the-loop review
• Comfort in TypeScript and willingness to work with Rust
• Clear written communication skills

• Hands-on Rust experience
• Open-source contributions
• Exposure to desktop apps, React, or local-first software
• Interest in security, GRC, or compliance products
